Google Updated Policy on User Privacy and Data Security

User security has been a key concern for many IT companies and other services. It was found that with the help of mobile apps, companies were accessing consumers' location and other information without their knowledge. Now, Google is coming with strict actions on this policy and have developed transparent app policies for developers.

That means, developers need to send a detailed report about their listed app on the Play Store. Besides, users will be well-aware of the permissions provided to the respective apps.

To make it convenient for the users, Play Store will have a specific section "Data Privacy and Security" where developers will enlist all the permissions and data that would be collected by the app (location, user activity, financial information etc.).

This will help users to understand the privacy policies in detail and make a decision to download the app. The changes in the platform policy will come into effect by the end of this year or at the beginning of 2022.

Not only this, but the details also have to tell how the app will process users' personal information.

Google's initiative will certainly help users to strengthen their privacy and secure their data.
