So what exactly happened? Why does an organization like Google face such outrage?

Let's check below:

The company stated that the services got hampered due to the "internal storage quota issue".

During the 45 minutes outrage period, people were unable to login into their account nor play any YouTube video. All Google services were stopped.

Besides, people using Google Meet during the outrage were logged out automatically and could not connect again.

Similarly, people trying to login to their Gmail account failed consistently. Users were receiving different error messages and codes such as "Error 500", "Error 503", and "Account could not be found".

Luckily, everything is working fine now and people can use their accounts and access all the services without any trouble.

On the unfortunate incident, Google spokesperson in an official statement said:
"Today, at 3.47 AM PT Google experienced an authentication system outage for approximately 45 minutes due to an internal storage quota issue. Services requiring users to log inexperienced high error rates during this period. The authentication system issue was resolved at 4:32 AM PT. All services are now restored. We apologize to everyone affected, and we will conduct a thorough follow up review to ensure this problem cannot recur in the future."
